This is my entry for the group contest, "Side-Kicks!"

Earlier this year I downloaded Donkey Kong Country 2 for the Virtual Console and after a week or two I reached the "Screech's Sprint" level. I was never good at controlling Squawks. So I ended up crashing into thorns and bees several, SEVERAL times. I gave up for a while and went back to it and eventually made it to the end.

This picture portrays how Squawks would probably look if he had accumulated all the damage that was cause by my consistent failure of the course. But he toughed it out.

Squawks is one of my favorite animal buddies from the game, and and cool side kick. Done in Photoshop CS4. May 28, 2010.
