As the fight continues, Samantha begins to unleash some of her magical powers whilst within Domino's grip to try and break free and also further damage the grappler from point blank range. A memory lingers within Domino's mind however, of just what is on the line in her fight.
Vlad "The Kraken" makes it more then clear that failure is not an option when the grand prize is revealed, looking to take possession of Vigil for his own personal gain. Failure would result in a cease of funding for Domino's husband's treatment, which would kill him. Everything is on the line...

This is great - I mean, seeing Vigil on your pages is always fun, but the sequence with Vlad is very interesting. I think you're the only one of the four semi finalists to really work the Vigil sub plot in, so thanks for that! Nice character touch with Domino too - wonder what will happen if she wins now?

A very good question. I guess that can only be answered if Domino does manage to win, but I figure it can't be good for Vigil given that Vlad has taken an interest. I think this was probably the page that tipped the balance to my favour for the fight, as its probably the most I've developed Domino in the entire tournament, whilst also heavily linking her to the story arc of the event. Out of the pages I was also most pleased with how this one turned out.

Myesh. I've always thought there was tons of potential behind Vlad, and I think he can really be established as a frightening powerhouse villain. I'm hoping such angles as this will help display that he means business.
