Description
It was a trap!

Blaze realized it all too late as the trigger was set, as concussion grenades were set off all around her. For all her speed she could not avoid the blast as she was sent flying through the air. Her travel ended with a vicious thud against the wall making Blaze fall to the ground. Her senses had been shaken, making it hard to concentrate as she tried to struggle up to her feet. She knew somewhere she had lost her grip upon her guns, she had a secret dagger in her back pocket which she slid out quickly. Blaze knew he was there, she could sense him approaching, but her legs could barely carry her after such a vicious hit when she sensed an attack coming.
“I knew you’d take the bait.” A twisted voice rang out, as Blaze gasped out feeling something wrap around her neck. She was lifted off her feet, as more tentacles wrapped around her to seize her in place as Prototype stood tall before her.

“You’ve upset quite a lot of people. Stand on too many toes and this is what happens. They send people like me after you.” Prototype spoke out, letting the tentacles squeeze some air from Blaze as the knife slid from her hands. “I have a lot of bids on you. Some want you dead, others want you alive. Wanna know who pays the most for you?” Prototype laughed out.
“You’re mother?” Blaze managed to gasp out, before shouting out in pain as the tentacle tightened around her body, no doubt Prototype’s response for her jest.
“It would be in your best interests to release her now.” A voice echoed between the walls. Prototype turned around, frowning in confusion, unable to hear where the voice came from. He kept Blaze within his grasp, beginning to pace around the room, seeing no signs of another.
“Who the hell said that? Show yourself!” Prototype bellowed out to the mysterious voice.

“I will not repeat myself.” The voice spoke again, making Prototype look around franticly as his patience was tested. He had set this trap up carefully to collect a bounty, he had made certain Blaze had come alone, how could anyone else even know of this location. He would never get any answers to his questions when a portal silently formed in the air behind him, allowing for Vigil to slide upwards as she had her target locked in her sights. A mere moment later, Prototype fell limp, collapsing to the ground as Blaze was released from his grasp. Blaze coughed violently as she struggled up to her feet, looking upon the unconscious bounty hunter with a frown before she managed to boot him in the arm for a small taste of retribution.
“Good timing. ‘Didn’t know you had my back.” Blaze spoke, catching her breath as she nodded to Vigil.
“I was not aware you were in trouble until the last moment. I came seeking some aid from you in a rather specific task that your abilities are suited for.” Vigil explained, examining the unconscious man, frowning over his mutations and his form.
“Oh…” Blaze muttered. "Still... thanks anyway."

The second feature image for Vigil, this time with Blaze! If you noticed, I’m now beginning to make much larger images, which is pretty good. Anyway!

Looks like Blaze got herself into a bit of trouble, no real surprise as she has made a good deal of enemies in her time as a super hero. Who Prototype was sent by we will not know, as luckily Vigil made the much needed save for our gun totting speedster. Since Eclipse helped Vigil in the last image, I went with a similar (if not the same) theme for this image, only with Vigil coming to make the save for one of my own characters. There is not a great deal I can say for Vigil and Blaze that hasn’t already been covered in previous images. As I say its hard to say how well the two would get on in their difference of personalities. Until Secret Wars comes and goes, its hard to even say if this image would even be canon to the big storyline, but I guess we can wait and see.

Took a bit of time making this image, only because I didn’t know what to do for a villain. I went through all the bits and bops I had, and I managed to piece together this Prototype character. I’m pleasantly surprised with his design, I could potentially make him into a common enemy. Though this image would tell you he’s pretty weak minded given how easily Vigil dropped him. Still, I like the final result of this image, and I hope the story goes well with it. With Vigil now done on the feature’s one can only wonder who I will choose next!
