XD yea you would probably shit yourself out of fear (witch he would be able to sense/smell) and due to him being able to sense or in this case probably just see your fear he would actually ask if you were ok and if you would need 
fun fact about the mask.... that thing was literally its skull and the skeletal arm is actually really freaking strong but can easily be broken
