taking a break from illustrating and doing some characters
theres a bunch of these floating in my hard drive so i thought why not render them out and post it up here for all you beautiful people to see meet Cawen, a necromancer for hire and proud owner of shredded green robes
i gave myself a story and characters to develop and scenes to create if at all i cant paint something randomly on the spot, and it is pretty fun working on these sorta passion projects
anyway, here's a necro design inspired by the cabalist set in guild wars... without the silly schoolgirl skirt
these are pretty fun to do! basically its me playing dress up with characters i draw...... totally not creepy at all hope you guys like it! and more to come

I like the whole character design series you did.
All the stripes and belts and stuff gives it a cool steampunk magic fantasy setting, (feels like a mix of GW2, Dragon Age and some others), would love to dive into that world.

Are the all the buckles necessary for holding up the armour or is it just an aesthetic thing ?

ya i know what u mean. just finished lvling a ele got her wearing the ascended chest and legs with feather gloves and SE dungeon shoes
looks pretty good in my opinion. gives her a armored look as opposed to the slut clothing that seems to be exclusive to female mages.

I actually have the same question as EroticIncubi about using this as a reference, purely a reference. I will not copy your design to a tee. But it's a gorgeous design and is extremely inspiring. ^^ You hold a talent in this area that I lack, so I have a full love to how hard you must have worked on this and I in no way wish to disrespect that.

the original took round 3ish hours i think.... the tweaks took round an hour per. and the short answer for advise is keep practicing i guess

It's nice to see a necromancer character portrayed (at least superficially) as something other than Chaotic Evil. Plus she's a female character wearing reasonable attire, which is great.
