Isn't the Smooze sort of a Von Neumann machine that doesn't need mass to multiply? It's like Minecraft's fluids. Realistically, if you ever tried to drink Minecraft's water, you'd drown as the part of the source block you swallowed filled your stomach, lungs, and throat. The Smooze should multiply uncontrollably until the oven bursts.
Eh, that ruins the gag. Silly Lyra is good enough.

I see a lot of people don't understand what the smooze is. Please alow me to explain it. It came from the G1 series. SPOILER ALERT! In My Little Pony: The Movie, the wicked witches from the Volcano of Gloom really hated the ponies, so they made the smooze to try to destroy Ponyland. The Rainbow of Light didn't stop the smooze, so Megan and the ponies had to go find the flutter ponies and convinced them to use their magic to destroy the smooze. (Good thing I looked up the plot just now. I seriously remembered some stuff wrong.)
