A page doll I made literally months ago as a test to see if I could actually do pixel art on the program I have without tearing my hair out X'D turns out I could! It's a little more tedious than doing so on my laptop but hey it works, so I'm content enough.at the time I started making this, me and were talking about these boys so I suppose that inspiration is what made me use them as my test subjects here X'D
plus I mean- they're adorable, how could I noooot?
but so with Tonic reminding me of them the other day with a lovely lil video she made- I remembered I hadn't posted this SO, I suppose now is as good a time as any right??
I'll get myself together one day-

anywho, here are some good boys in some cozy hoodies, perpetually wagging/flicking their tails in an infinite loop.

This duo's collective cuteness will kill me someday, but like, for real, I just know it.
For some reason, I can't stop laughing at your "But hey, it works" notion. Something about that manages to have a lot of weight behind it while staying a very simple statement. xD
It's really sweet to hear that you and Tonic actually talk about these two, knowing that somehow manages to make their relationshio that much more heartfelt and genuine.
Also, everyone's forgotten one of the pictures in their gallery hadn't been posted yet at some point, including myself, so there's no real need to feel bad about that! =w=
Also, I uhhh... Adore this.
I love how perky both Primary and Chii look. The raised ears, along with the jolly expression is really sweet.
There's something about Chii looking a bit more relaxed, both in expression and posture, while still widely smiling and bleping that contrasts really nicely with Primary's excited eyes and more straight/outgoing position.
The same applies to the way they interact with each other, Primary reaching out to hold Chii while the latter has his hands in his hoodie's pockets makes for a pretty charming scene.
The fact that Chii's tail is in constant motion while Primary's only flicks slightly from time to time also makes this much more interesting to look at.
You did a really good job with the animation. Both The swaying and the wagging are really smooth and pleasing to the eyes.
I really love the designs you gave the hoodies, as well. The starred sky looks surprisingly mesmerizing, and the single, blue star with streaks looks neat.
It actually looks that you even went as far as to add little folds which, along with their fur, makes them both look very cozy and snuggly.
Also fitting to mention I think you did a great work with the anatomy. Everything looks correct while mantaining a cute shape, and those crossed legs are very well done!

Honestly I get it, its my attitude towards most things that tend to fight me but end up somehow coming together in the end X’D like- It worked, I can’t complain X’D I’m already done.
Oh yeah! Of course! Talking about the characters is half of the fun that comes with pairing them together
Ah yeah I’ve got tons of stuff I’m behind on posting so I don’t feel too bad about it normally but since this was also a gift I wish I’d posted it sooner is all~ XD

aw thank you! I wanted to do little things that would help somewhat convey their personalities and how they interact a bit, even on such a small scale.
I’ve actually never made a page doll quite like this before with two characters and having them so close together, it was an interesting deal and I honestly didn’t think the result was going to work out as well as it did. XD so I’m glad!
Oh thank you! I’m super happy to hear that!! I’ve been slowly dipping back into animating in recent years so it means a lot! Even though pixel art is finicky I really wanted this to be as smooth as possible so thank youuuu!
and yeah I had the thought since cats usually only “wag” their tails when they’re upset, it made more sense to kind of differentiate them on that as well, having primary just have a content little flick in contrast to his boyfriend’s constant happy swaying. ^^

aww yay! ;v; Chii’s is admittedly a default design I made for him out of the blue with the first drawing I posted of him here
but I designed Primary’s sort of on the fly because I wanted them to match up a little bit! So I’m glad they look good~!<3
and ahh thank you! thank you! I actually notice I tend to struggle a bit with legs when in bent up positions, which is something I’ve been trying to work on so it means a lot to hear you think so!
