Description This was really fun to do! Both in sketch [link] and in coloring!

Thanks to 's [link] for the idea behind it! Really cool concept that I felt like latching onto and Boswer graciously allowed.

It's a tribute to you man!

NOTICE: I hope to post a more clear image when I can scan this. Sorry for the blurry image.

I love how you did such an awesome cover of Bowser's work. The contrast of the black background against the foreground makes everything seem much more focused. I like that.

And how you took Bowser's idea and made it your own. Very cool.

I am LOVIN that lunging Bowser. It's just so... smooth, and... is it shiek? (LAWLZ no u nub it's sheik; hahaha I dont' know the real word, it's like french or something... chiqe?)

I think it may be the lack of shell spikes, I dunno. Whatever it is, it makes it fantastic; it's like, Melee is ultra-realistic Bowser, Brawl is current-modern realistic Bowser; this is Old Skool Bowser.

I just love it.

Heh, I did sorta' draw him from memory and looking a bit at Bowser's sketch so that might explain it! Had to search through the paper advertisements that came with Super Mario Galaxy for the color scheme! XD

I'm glad you like it! I have to admit, Bowser probably came out the best! ^_^

Hey man, this came out great! Never had any idea a random scribble of mine would actually turn up a work of mastery like this became. Most of the time if I upload an old work of mine, it won't get many or any comments at all, and just sits there in my gallery collecting dust. It's almost always about the "new" ideas these days that people are truly after. They tend to forget the old stuff, if you catch my drift. But what I am personally amazed at is how you saw a new light within my idea/concept and managed to give it new life. Not to mention a very fleshed out one at that. Seriously dude, this just rocks out loud. The coloring job on this exceptional. And the way you threw in your own spin says a lot about your own originality. I swear, however simple this may be, it's grand in every way as well. Thanks a lot TTL. You really made my night complete. And thanks for the tribute...that was really nice of you. Anything in my gallery, both past present and future that you like, and you see a way to give it new life, I grant you full permission to use 'em in any way you see fit. Not that my ideas are always the best, but hey, it seemed to work wonders when my Pokemon Diamond and Pearl fan art contest entry back on NSider inspired you to take an anime approach to your own submission. And trust me...I'm nothing to boast about, so that's not my intention with those words either.

But yeah man, great work on this. Definitely ing it, for sure!

Wow! Perhaps the longest comment I've ever had!

Hey man, same goes to you! I love to see how other people can interpret and reinterpret other ideas. It's why I think fanart is given such a bad rap. Good fanart is often just appropriation in my book.

But that's going a bit out farther then this. I'm so glad you're enjoying this though! Makes me smile.

Humble to the last. In my opinion good artists typically are. The best mindset is to always know you can improve. We all can.

Well, so very glad you're pleased! I'll make sure to take a more sharp image. This one is a bit fuzzy, but it's a digital camera shot in my dorm.

Dude, I couldn't agree with more with what you said. If you're able to be inspired by someone else and their work to benefit themselves in a creative sharing way, then that's something to be proud of. Fan art definitely has been given a bad rap in recent years, but the fact we're able to reach beyond what the average mind would come up with is to be commended. Especially in your case, my friend.

But yeah, seriously man...I am loving this to the core. No one's taken an idea of mine like this before and delivered such unbelievable quality, however simple it may be. Sometimes simplicity is the best way to go about life, so it works wonders here. And I heartily agree with you--we all can improve if we just set our mind to it.

Thanks again bud. You've done me a great service, and for that I am grateful. Keep up the great stuff. Hope you have a good one.
