I decided to make this one a full blown piece. I did some editing on my computer, as well as add a background by way of a googled photo, but still far more work was done traditionally, thus the category.If you want the gist of this in detail, look for the scrap of it, and a piece called "Path to Transformation" in scraps as well.
To put it simply, Saria and the Kokiri after the events of Ocarina of Time are forced into a warrior path of which they have no real chance to survivie. After the assasination of Link, the Hero of Time, by a corrupt Hylian insider, with no retaliation from the Royal Family at all, and pressing disputes with borders for the first time with neighboring races, the Kokiri are forced to war. This transforms them, corrupts them, and ulimately destroys them.

Nope. After Link the hero of Time's death, Saria died from a broken heart. then the rest of the Kokiri came tumbling down afterwards.

If I remember what I was thinking correctly, they basically burn themselves out so far that the Deku Tree decides that in their current form they are too dangerous to themselves and the forest and in turn changes the remaining Kokiri into Koroks.

It is better for the Kokiri to die out then to fall to the ways of the war and the corrupt, vile creature we call man that calls itself Hylian/Hyrulian in theirs. Seriously, your idea rocks, though. Forgive me for expressing my hatred for anything human.. hehe (ironic)... I guess ultametly, even the Kokiri cou;dn't stay young and innocent forever...

No prob, humanity has it's major issues. Typically I consider the average Hylian a bit closer to the ways of the elves then humans, but they're got their faults too.

Oh don't get me started. I've been quite annoyed with the lack of Hyrule in Twilight Princess. It's big open space with far less character then OoT. Not to mention it's supposed 100 year gap from that Hyrule. I can't say I believe it was developed to be OoT's Hyrule at all . . .
