Description
Inspired by the book by Shel Silverstein, this is another deviation for my heart theme calendar.Stock: (tree); (background and moon); (sky texture); (butterflies brushes); other stock from private stock.

Really like the idea behind this - and the subtle butterfly wings around the girl add a nice touch

Oh, thanks! I really appreciate the note about the butterflies. I kept feeling like they were not needed, but other people who saw the deviation with and without the butterfiles kept telling me to keep them in! And so there they are.

No, I think they really add to the picture - they keep a bit of texture and interest in the background (especially because they look a lot like watercolors, the way they've been handled), and add a reference to magic, and dreams, and all the things you would think go with a giving tree...

Short book. He was mostly a poet, very fanciful imagery or satirial commentary. He was also a playwright. I really like his writing, and this is definitly my favorite story.
