Description
Here are my three entries for TheSapphireNight 's Minecraft character design contest, where you design a character based on one of the three prompts given. I was just going to do one or two of the prompts, but ended up doing all three (which I'm glad I did, since my favorite one ended up being for the prompt that I didn't think I was going to do XD).

Sculk Piggy - This first prompt was to draw a sculk infested mob that tries to warn people about the deep dark, and for some reason I immediately thought it should be a pig. It's probably because I like pigs, since it doesn't make a lot of sense. Like why would there be a pig in the deep dark? Maybe he followed his owner down and got lost or something. But I actually ended up really liking the contrasting dark blue-green and brighter pink colors. He also has sculk sensor growing out of his back, which I imagine he can control when it makes a noise. I also imagine that he would use that ability to set off shriekers to lead the warden away from anyone.

Mangrove Golem - This is my favorite one. The prompt was an intimidating but chill plant creature that lives in a lush cave and can control plants. Intimidating but chill made me think of a golem and I thought that a mangrove could be a good choice for a plant creature because the roots could be legs. Plus, I also really like mangrove trees in real life (because where you find mangroves you can find MANATEES...usually). So he's pretty much a combination of an iron golem and a mangrove. I didn't really make him all intimidating through. And because he can control plants, he has some glow berries and vines growing on him. I initially drew the axolotl to reflect that he's in a lush cave, but it made me want to draw more amphibians, so I did a frog too. The mangrove was just going to be waving, but now he's holding up a froggy friend

The Elder Dragon - This is probably my least favorite of the three. The prompt was an old dragon with a lot of scars who is probably the ender dragon's sister. I pretty much made her an inverse ender dragon (made her scales white instead of black, yellow eyes instead of purple). I kept the grey wings and horns to reflect that they are related. Overall, this is just really simple. The ender dragon already has a simple design, and I tried to put a little more pizazz into it, but I couldn't really think of anything else to do. This is also why I adopt dragon characters from other people, because I can only come up with really simple designs. I do kind of like how all the scars turned out though.

Do I over explain things too much?

These prompts also made me want to draw all my favorite pets/mobs that me and my sisters have had in Minecraft over the years at some point (like Jungle the pig, Tiger the axolotl, Aslan the chicken, Philip and Charcoal and Viola and Sebastian the horses (I've had a lot of horses), Molasses and Desert Sun the donkeys, Webel the mule, BSK the wolf, Fudge the sheep, Drowndy the drowned, Moses the villager, Samson the llama, Galaxy the cow, Ya-Ya the brown panda, I could go on.)
