Description
You woke up the next morning extremely stiff and just barely managed to sit up to turn your alarm off. You crawled out of bed and walked over to the bathroom. Once you finished in there you walked back into your room and decided to slowly stretch out your sore muscles in hopes to ease a lot of the pain from yesterday's beating. You winced slightly as you stretched but continued until you had stretched all the stiff areas of your body. Once you were mostly sure you had gotten everywhere stretched out you got dressed in your normal attire.
You got all your stuff together and grabbed your key. You locked your door behind you as you left out into the twilight morning. You let your thoughts wander to Karkat. The more your thoughts drifted and your imagination took over, the more you slowly felt your face heat up. The way he had been kind to you in that kind of angry manner of his. He just seemed like he was wanting to get closer to you as a friend, and 'cause you've never really had one before you became frightened. You felt your heart feel heavy in a way. You had ran away because you had gotten scared. All because someone just wanted to be close to you. You sighed heavily and tried to get your mind of that train of thought. Sadly you were having no such success in doing that. You felt bad all the rest of the way to school. But when you got there, well that's when you came upon a rather shocking scene.
You got to the school gate and looked up in surprise. The scene before you was quite astonishing really. There was a semi-circle of students around what appeared to be a fight. It looked like Karkat was beating the crap out of Ashley and her possy without any regard for the crowd around him. You heard him yelling quite clearly from where you stood in shock and amazement.
"Now listen up here you fucking shitholes. You'd better leave (Name) the fuck alone or so help me I will kick your ass' all the way to fucking hell and back again. Do I make myself clear you shitty little bitches!?" They scrambled away towards the school. You knew that wouldn't end well but at the moment you didn't care. You jogged over to where Karkat was and hugged him tightly with tears in the corners of your eyes. "(N-Name)?" He sounded surprised.
"Thank you Karkat, thank you so much." You said quietly while your hug tightened just a little bit. He quickly returned your hug. "I'm just glad you'll be safe now (Name). Understand that there is nothing I won't do for you. 'Cause you wanna know what?" You looked up to see Karkat smiling gently with a small blush dusting his cheeks. You tilted your head to the side and furrowed your brow in question. "What?" You ask. He leaned closer so you both were nose to nose. "I love you (Name)." He just about breathed out. He quickly closed the distance before you could say anything and kissed you. You kissed him back as you felt a happy warmth weave it's way throughout your entire being. When you parted for air you were both smiling and rested your foreheads together. Suddenly you heard a rather angry voice behind Karkat. "Mr.Vantas! I require that you come with me to my office immediately." You grasped Karkat's hand tightly as he turned around to see the principal standing there rather menacingly. Karkat gripped your hand as well as he was practically dragged by the other arm to the Main Office. You followed behind quickly, refusing to let go.
As the principal yelled Karkat's ear off you gripped his hand the entire time, letting him know that everything would be alright. When he finished and you started to quietly explain what had been happening with being bullied. As you got further along your voice rose in volume, till it almost seemed like yelling but not quite that loud. When you finished presenting your case you calmly relaxed back into your seat and Karkat gave your hand a gentle squeeze, much like you did for him.
When you both left the office the girls were rightly punished and Karkat was left with a detention, but everything worked out in the end. You both were very happy together, and you knew you would be for a very very long time.
