The Enterprise, under the command of Captain Pike, comes across a forboding world. The Captain can't help but wonder, is it the strange planet that makes his spine tingle, or the knowledge that he hasn't received any order from Starfleet ever since the war with the Klingons has started...

It's a really interesting concept, because... honestly, I don't know.On one hand, Metlesits would sk the Talosians to make him an iollusion of hios parents so he could say a final farewell (something he could never do, his parents died when he was at UEFF Academy). Then again, he'd know it's an illusion...

I usually use modified photos of weid Earth geographical features. Import them to Photoshop, make them tileable, some color correction, boom, instant planetary texture.

Well as Vice AdmiralΒ Cornwell stated toΒ Captain PikeΒ the reason the USS EnterpriseΒ sat out the war was because; if the Federation had lost to the Klingons they wanted the best of Starfleet to survive and that was him and all he represents.Β Β Β

I agree., it isn't cowardly or stupid. Most governments have similar contingencies in place today. Fighting to the last man only hurts your ability to counterattack in the 11th hour.
