Your welcome!!!!!!

How did the two collide with each other? And did they both survive???

I never saw this episode yet.

It's from the episode "Cause and Effect" which is S05E18. Don't miss it!

When I tell you the Enterprise D is actually destroyed as a result of this collision (and that's not a spoiler either), I'm sure it will only make you want to watch it even more now.Β

I see whoever built the consoles for the bridge, also must've built the engine nacelles for the Enterprise-D.

If it werent for that darn tractor beam they would have never sustanded that same hit on the nacell. Plus Indeed the Bozeman is not bigger than the Enterprise D since shes only a Soyuze class ship. The Soyuz class is an adapted version of the iconic tmp/DS9/tng mirandas.

by the way This Just in.

Possible Rumors that JJ Abrams's ambitious attempts to please CBS aswell as his own production team Bad Robot have been destroyed. A power conflict has been raging over the asset rights to the Trek franchise between CBS and Paramount and most likely JJ Abrams aswell.

All i can say is Well you hardcore fans wanted JJ Abrams destroyed well along with CBS and Paramount you trekkies have succeeded in that.

One of the Best TNG episodes- keeping the whole thing fresh after the X or Y trip around the time loop must have been hell for the Writers/Directors!

I read somewhere (TNG Companion?) that they originally wanted a Consititution Class, but the idea was scrapped due to cost.

Great pic as always!

He is Kelsey Grammer. To understand the Frasier Crane reference, see this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frasier_…

Venting the main shuttle bay... to move a massive pile of metal like 1701-D...

Β

I know that Trek in its various shows has never been very faithful to boring, real-life physics and the like, but... well... given that they had so little time before the impact, Riker's plan wouldn't really have worked. The 'D' is supposed to weigh in at 6 million metric tonnes.

Β

Maybe I'm overthinking this.

Nuclear-Fridge In reply to thefirstfleet [2013-10-14 14:06:29 +0000 UTC]

Nor do I, really... but I suppose it's quite mild compared to all the explosions, phaser blasts, and other sound effects we get to hear during Trek space battles. Oh well.

FeatherQuilt1988 [2013-09-20 01:49:33 +0000 UTC]

Oooh! I actually have seen this episode, believe it or not! It was one of the others on the "best of TNG" DVD I bought to watch "Relics." I liked Cause and Effect, it was funny in places and really neat... and my almost-immediate head-canon became that Chekov and Uhura were on the Bozeman and got to reunite with Scotty that way for a happier ending. But of course I'm sure the more serious Trek-lore-ists will shoot that theory down. Buuuut anyways. Cool picture as usual! Very good fire/spark/explosion-thingies on the nacelle there. This is quite pretty.

Did you know that they originaly wanted to have Saavik on the bridge of the Bozeman?

FeatherQuilt1988 In reply to thefirstfleet [2013-09-20 17:56:38 +0000 UTC]

Wow, no, I didn't know that! That's awesome! (And I guess makes my own theory at least a *bit* more plausible.... )

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SpiderTrekfan616 In reply to FeatherQuilt1988 [2013-09-20 21:54:20 +0000 UTC]

The reason why thy couldn't have Saavik on the bridge is because a) Kirstie Alley wasn't available at the time and b) because it would have caused aΒ continuity errorΒ as Saavik couldn't have appeared in Star Trek II Which Takes place in 2284Β if she was on the Bozeman when it was lost in 2278.

Great render! Both ships look fantastic here, and in fact the Enterprise almost looks like the studio model. Well done!

One nitpick, though... wasn't Bozeman's registry NCC-1941?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

thefirstfleet In reply to CR99nut [2013-09-20 07:31:14 +0000 UTC]

Thank you very much!

The registry is incorrect, but my USS Dzerzhinsky model is standing in here as the Bozeman. 1926 is the year the real-life Iron Felix died, so...
