Oh no, you don't want to engage the Borg...

If you do; she'll get all possessive, and get her little tubules into everything. And then all her family moves in, and take over the place, (and they never do anything, they just stand there.) And then she changes everything in your place to the way she likes it...

Just stay away man! We know you find latex/leather sexy, But dude, just stay away from this one!

(Besides, man, this guy,     ,was her ex. Can you really compete with him?)

We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.

Hey, Borg douchebags! Resistance is NOT futile! Assimilate THIS, you wankers!

BEAUTIFUL RENDER!!!

The cinematography of the whole battle is just brilliant, I really like that they played the old Klingon battle theme for Worf. Also, I love how in the scene where the Enterprise swoops in behind the Defiant and you immediately get a sense of scale. Jonathan Frakes really showed he is a great director.

Indeed, it's the second most memorable battle in Trek, after the Mutara Nebula battle.

I my humble opinion there will never be another Star Trek movie battle that was as good as the Mutara Nebula battle. While am not going to say it will never happen in a Star Trek series and/or film but it would take a lot of circumstances coming together to match or surpass the battle in the Mutara Nebula. As other discussions have stated the confrontation in Wrath of Khan was a battle between two commanders, which is what made it epic. It was more about tension and strategy, not phasers and torpedoes; similarly the episode Balance of Terror and the movie ST: The Undiscovered Country; those battles are all remembered as Kirk vs Khan, Kirk vs General Chang. Not necessarily ship vs. ship.

Truthfully I know this has been discussed before on other forums but like others I will never understand how space battles in Star Trek went from ships battles with huge, slow-moving vessels firing at each other from a distance with a relatively low rate of fire but devastating impact comparable to naval ships and submarines like in TOS, the TOS movies, TNG, and Generations. But in DS9, Voyager, ENT, DIS, and the other TNG movies,  space battles are now depicted as dogfights in space. With starships buzzing and zooming around the battlefield, guns blazing; there's very little we can really do to canonically explain this stuff.

As I stated above too don't think we will see anything like the Reliant fight for a long, long time in current Star Trek and the reason is one of pacing. Something that really bugged me about the pilot of DS9 was the depiction of the Battle of Wolf 359. The way that the starships turned really quickly at angles on a single plane just didn't look right. The Mutara Nebula battle between Reliant vs. Enterprise was two ships-of-the-line go toe-to-toe; the battle even had the traditional broadside volleys like older sailing ship battles. The ships moved, but they didn't fly unlike in First Contact were the space battle, which was full of massive starships with hundreds or thousands of people, moved quickly. They streaked across the screen, pulled high-g maneuvers, and exploded with the slightest damage. A statement was made on another site that when the action is fast, the decisions are less important. Communicating maneuver to an audience becomes mostly pointless when things are shown at such high speed. Granted there are exceptions, mostly in the Star Trek movies Undiscovered Country, Generations and Insurrection.
