Description
Hey Guys, check out another photo I found in the archives. It's black and white, probably taken on set by a stage worker. Who knows after all these years...All models by me

Oh, I've gotta love this! Dug up from one of the "lost" pilots from early '65, eh?
Great work. You just need to put in one of the workers that built or shot the Enterprise model in the background.

Another great one!!!!! When I would read the Franz Joseph Tech Manual, I would always imagine what if they had actually built and utilized the ships he had come up with back when the series was actually in production!!!

They had no budget for that, sadly. But now we can make our own designs!

Oh yeah!
Although these are more than just filters. I make every effect by "hand", using various settings in Photoshop.

Now you must make a pic of the studio model with the producers!

To be honest, those who did the Hungarian films back in the 60's better not touch my ship. Snobbish artsy-farts

Love that design.
I really like the slight curve to the engine nacelle's connecting pylons. Along with rotating the engines 90 degrees (so the vents are vertical), those curved pylons are the things that make this seem to me something that Matt Jefferies may have designed himself. (I haven't forgotten the unique secondary fuselage.)
I say that because fan designs usually take the Enterprise's segments and just rearrange them, with nothing altered or distinctive.
The Polaris, however, is no cookie-cutter design.

I wanted her to fir the era but have a charm of her own. I wanted the pylons to be curved, straight ones just didn't feel right.

I can't help but think of Ryan Stiles' comment on Whose Line when he says "You know what Captain Hair would be in German? Herr Hair."
