Granted, I've seen other Enterprise G's out there... But yours blends old and new together so well... From the NX, to the Sovereign. This one seems to have a bit of them all in her.

Yeah, that was the intention behind the design

She's beautiful! I love the design. It's modern but not too futuristic. Great!

I see a bit of your pre-TOS design in this. You're a fan of that rear raised bit on the saucer eh?
I like the look of her. She's a beauty.Β
I think the worst thing about a lot of the late TNG/post TNG designs is that they look less like something designed, and more like artistic sculptures. It kills the sense of reality to them. This is a much more back-to-basics look that I much more enjoy.Β

It's pretty awful small to be next Enterprise. Β Or is Federation decided go back to 23rd century's starship average size?

Yupp. Fed ships are getting small again, with a good reason. You'll see.

There are details about this ship that seem a little off the beaten path as far as starship design goes... I like it!

Well. It's awesome. the graphic, the implimentation... but i'm kinda sick of the starship "enterprise".Β
Take the new movies for example. they "remade" the original series. Why? Why not give us something new to love? Are they so out of decent ideas or the concept of lovable characters that they can't come up with new ones? or do they just think it sells better?
Moving on, to quote jason david frank on power rangers fan films, "it will only ever be a fanfilm unless saban sanctions it". So I'm aware of AT LEAST 4 other enterprise G's. kills consistency. I help run a "U.S.S. Starchaser", tho unfortunately google turned up other versions of that too. Hard to do original names.... =/

Come on now Dave, if your gonna explore the Gamma Quadrant, the least you can do is wait until I get there in my seriesΒ Β Then you can do fan artwork, after all, you are a fan, aren't you? Β
Great work on this one though. Β
