Really just a test render I have touched up.I tweaked the Bussard collectors again, I think I got the shape of the light bulbs right this time. They are also animated, to light up in the cirular pattern as seen in TOS.

Those bussards are indeed beautiful. They were always my favorite things to watch in the outer ship shots of the TV episodes.

I have much criticism regarding the Remastered CGI model. They took shortcuts that were senseless, making the model too inaccurate for the detail freak like me. Like the symmetric windows: the studio model's window pattern was not symmetric. Than the little nav lights on the eng' hull's spine, also missing. And so on...

Agreed! Β I think they took too many liberties with the remastered design - either as shortcuts or just personal touches that some designer might have thought looked better. Β They need to put you in charge of a re-remastered series.
