Description
Starfleet was cautious with the deployment of the Sovereign class during the Dominion War. While fast and strong, more than capable of fighting its way through enemy lines, Starfleet feared that the loss of one of these symbols of Federation technological prowess, or, worse, the capture of one by the Dominion, would be more than detrimental, both for the war effort and for morale. However, with the Breen joining the side of the Dominion, posing a new threat, the Sovereign class starships were assigned to hunt down Breen raiders, and to avenge the bombing of Starfleet HQ on Earth.
