What needs to be done needs to be done. The saucer of my Enterprise model has been bothering me for quite a while. I always knew it was a bit too wide, but that underside curvature was just way off. I knew it had to be re-done one day, but it won't be an easy task.Following a particularly crappy day, I turned my frustration and sadness into creativity fuel and re-did the thing. Re-modelled the saucer, but the windows, the greebles, lettering, and so on. I also de-did the impulse engine and refined the deflector coil assembly.
Is she perfect now? Far from it. Is she a better representation of Matt Jeffries' original idea? I hope so. Is she now one of my few studio-quality models? Heck yes
These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise...
