Description
I got up at dark o' clock and walked away from my campsite and cozy warm tent to take this picture-but it was worth it.

Dragonfly nyads emerge from their final skin during the night, and throughout the week we were able to see their leftover exoskeletons hanging from the dock.

I, however, found two dragonflies that had just emerged and unfolded their wings. I was able to hold them in my hand until they flew off, for the first time.

The wings were amazing, all crinkled and sparkling, reminded me of Saran Wrap, to be honest.
