Murder Drones fan species I guess??? Idk I just thought about how the purpose of Copper 9 was for mining resources, so having miner robots makes sense

Made mostly of plastic and other cheap materials (Aside from digging pieces and such), miner drones weren't really made to interact with humans. They would bring stashes of valuable metals to the humans, eat coal to survive, and were kept out of sight of the rest of civilization. JcJenson carefully designed them so they wouldn't go rouge, individually programming them to be submissive by nature, and making it so that they didn't nee much light to see, but the lights from other miner drones would still be enough.
When Copper 9 became incapable of supporting life, the miner drones, much like the workers, created their own colonies. They developed a more complex warning system (using flashes of light in a pattern) than the one originally made for them which was simply if the light changed to red at all. They were still pretty stupid as JcJenson designed them to be, using very basic verbal language and acting a lot like packs of animals, but they gradually became a lot smarter.
