ASSIGNMENT TWO
EVENT INTERVIEWS
TASK
Draw your entrant responding to the interview invitation, do they decline, enjoy the spotlight or are just passionate about sharing their experiences? Inspire other people to participate next time? make them aware of difficulties that's not apparent at first view?
Koda will be around all day from morning to evening, to broadcast with the EQTN crew and also visit the horses.
Questions will include: What factors decided the order of the horses for each phase? What strength did each horse bring to the varying terrains? How did they prepare for the harsh conditions and long rides? What experiences did they make so far and were they confident for the rest of the trail or are they pushing their limits?

Horses away for the day Einar spotted a camera crew interviewing people and dragged Jamie over. He was intending just to watch and listen as the other participants were interviewed, but when the young man holding the mic turned to them he couldn't help but nod and accept the invitation bringing Jamie along with him without asking the other man.

Jamie pulled a face but let himself be dragged along whistling the dogs to heel and stick close as he did.

They both introduced themselves and the dogs, Jamie lifting up Tidda who took the opportunity to sneak in a lick before they got onto talking about their horses and the trek itself.

“What strength do each of your horses bring to the varying terrains?” The interviewer asked turning the mic first to Einar.

“My team are all made up of Swedish Draft Horses,” Einar answered easily, “They're super hardy and built for the snow and the rough terrain so they have been acting as snow plows for my friend Jamie here.”

“My team are more diverse and a lot more lightly built compared to Einar’s but I picked them for their proven endurance and capabilities in tough weather, they're also all great on their feet and have good problem solving brains,”

Jamie answered still a little tense but relaxing into it a big more, “My best girl Shale in particular I wanted to bring for this phase because she's been out here before, as a two year old, and so I know she can physically and mentally handle the snow and the mountain terrain.”

“That's great to hear! Did you want to say anything else about the trip so far or anything you are excited for on the trail ahead?” The interviewer asked.

“I know I'm certainly looking forward to a rest coming up before we reach Norway,” Einar said with a grin, “A hot shower is sounding mighty fine at the moment.”

Jamie laughed and then said, “I’m excited for a bit more time with Shale before we part ways at the train but I'm looking forward to seeing my last team member and tackling Norway for sure.”

The men talked a little more before excusing themselves to check on the horses and heading out of the spotlight.
