Description
The day was warm, and even the snow on the ground had a strangely pleasant feel to it as Echo led various horses out to their designated pastures.
Snow had fallen lightly the night before, and the ground was coated in a sugary white, sparkling coat.
It was just a few days before Christmas, and already Awake and Dreaming EEC had been blessed with some new foals.
It was growing quite crowded, but Echo liked it that way.

When she had finished doing her chores with her daughter River and their live-in trainer, Jaskell, Echo went to the foal pastures to watch their babies playing in the new snow.
Two of their new foals romped in the snow. The little flaxen appaloosa, which Echo had named Connect the Dots, dubbed Dottie, was quietly standing, and watching Kibbles, a.k.a PaintYouWithEnvy, playing with another filly.
Dottie pricked her ears suddenly and set forward at a pretty little trot, as if to join them.

Suddenly, Kibbles turned his bright blue eyes to Dottie, who stopped dead in her tracks.
The two stared at each other for a moment, before Dottie experimentally took a few steps forward, and Kibbles rushed at her in a flurry of flying snow and joyful squeal.
The two raced each other, but Kibbles obviously won, being bigger and longer of limb.

He gave a high cry of triumpth, as if to say, "Bitch please, as if you could outrun ME!"
Dottie didn't seem to mind, though, as she nickered happily and continued to run around in the bright winter morning.
The two of them struck an unnusual friendship.

Okay to these are two of the gift foals I recieved this year, the Buckskin tobiano from *barbaro29 and the little flaxen appaloosa from =SearaAidan !
I love them to bits, and I decided to put them in Awake and Dreaming
