Pacquiao 04: The Fighter4th and last submission to my "Pacquiao Week Series". Tonight is the night where Pacquiao unleashes HELL. Beware Shane Mosley, it is going to be a BLOODY night! \m/
Thanks to all the people who have appreciated my art this week, sure had fun drawing Pacquiao but just now I realized I'm sick and tired of drawing the same person 4 times lol. No more Pacquiao for this year, let's all wish him luck in his tonight's match!

Okay so you requested critique, here it goes.
I love it. I esp. love the eyes. I don't know if you intended it to be this way, but... you've captured Manny's "soul," the sadness because of his background/upbringing and also the hunger and tenacity of fighting his way out. There is something so captivating about the way you created his eyes. To me, that's the thing that stands out the most. I absolutely LOVE how you colored his gloves. To me it's like blood; how he managed to fight his way out of poverty & into the top of the world... it's through blood.
You picture seems to be saying, "I've never had it easy and I'll never forget that." I love your picture of Pacquiao. Thanks for sharing it with us.

& i've been bleeding Pacquiao since I saw his fight in San Fran. 2001 against sum dude from the dominican republic (forgot his name).

Only once, when I was a kid (around... 7-8?). I went to Baguio (think that's the spelling) & of course stayed in manila. I'm actually thinking of going over there because my cousin lives there now (she's also American-born) after getting married to a PI-citizen. I told her maybe when I retire lol. I'm thinking it's hard to find a job over there, esp. if you're not a PI citizen (I'm a nurse so that's gotta be even worse for me).
Are you Filipino and do you live in PI (if you don't mind my asking!)?

Im born and raised there but living in nj now. Been here 5 yrs already. Why would you want to look for a job in pi? A nurse salary over there is 15k php a month. Divide that by 40 for usd rate lol BUT when you have all the money pi is the best place to burn it lol you'll live like a queen

I guess, for adventure LOL? No, I'll prob. go back "home" to PI when I retire. American life is so stressful. How about you? How do you find it so far? A lot of family & friends that moved from PI to America find themselves, I guess, sadder? They're having a hard time adjusting/acclimating to the cultural change.
I guess I'm one of those Filipinos that's ready to "go find out more about my roots." You know, the ones that don't really have any connections to the "home land" but they're still fascinated by it. I mean, I've been studying a lot of Asian culture (like, Asian empowerment studies whenever I have the time), but you know what? The Filipino American experience is sometimes overlooked! There's always so much more on the Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, or other Asian experiences. Us Filipinos get like, one chapter at most in textbooks. That's just so so so sad to me.

well it depends really, I'm happy here, and I'm happy in PI too. it actually depends whether you have great company here in the US and have a good job. but otherwise Im happy lol, and my art gets more exposure here too

Yeah, but to be honest what else was to be expected out of him? Mosley never should have been in there in the first place to be honest, hes really good, but I think his best days were behind him. the only guy at this point who I want to see Pac fight is Mayweather (Pretty much the fight the entire world wants to see, which sadly I beginning to think think will not ever happen)

same here, with all floyd's legal issues forget about it. moving on, i want to see a 3rd bout with pac and marquez to tie lose ends or with sergio martinez.

I would have loved Marquez but now, like Mosley, I feel like Marquez isnt the same. I feel like right after Hatton instead of the Cotto fight would have been a better time for Pac and MArquez to complete there trilogy. I would still watch it though. I think I'd actually prefer Sergio only because he's one of my favorites (though he'd probably get murdereed by Pac lol)
