Description
What if the whole "ICE AGE" franchise was completely the opposite of what it is?Then you get this, "DRY AGE". Taking place in the arid Savannas of present day Africa.
Starring -
Obi the Elephant
Dom the Ostrich
Sabe the Giant Sable Antelope
And Kekere thr Dik-Dik.

First art of the new year! Woo!
While listening to the soundtracks of the first Ice Age movie, I then got an idea while looking at the poster of the movie itself.
I thought what a brilliant idea it would be to have some of my characters in place of Manny, Sid and Diego from the original poster.
Worked out better than I thought! It was quite fun to do!
Each character of mine seems to fit well, personality-wise from the original.

Or Lion, because Diego was part of a pack of his own kind, just like modern day Lions. Well, I can settle with Leopard Diego, since that species is also fitting for him to be in his place.

Thanks! Though I don't have any characters currently who are carnivores that would fit with Diego's stand. I would have if I did.
So I chose the one who is the closest to him in personality. Basically it's all of my characters in place of the original.
And what if maybe this would make it even more alternate from the original, where all the characters a herbivores? That's sort of where I was going with it. But again it wasn't really anything serious to begin with.

Well Obi is a decedent of Manny, Dom is like Sid, and Sabe is as tough Diego. Maybe your herd can have some members like the Sub-Zero Heroes we all know and love.

Obviously, yeah. Well, I already have a whole bunch of other characters that could be used in the same roles as in the Ice Age movies. But really, this was just made for fun.

Anyways, I really like how they're all posed (I think mirroring the poses from the other characters if I remember correctly), and your characters are much more likeable because they're 1000% less annoying.

At least the first (and original one) still has it's redeeming qualities. That's what I was focusing on with this picture, ignoring all of those other sequels which made it more and more unrealistic.
I love the first one because it stayed, for the most part, realistic to the time and setting it takes place in.
Characters in the first one were quite relatable, especially with Manny, knowing his past and why he was a grump for much of the duration of the movie. He had a reason to be the way he was.
Sid, to me, was hilarious! I think if he was absent from the first film, it wouldn't be as much fun to watch. The movie does such a good job with blending these three unlikely personalites together in an unlikely adventure, the writers of it really knew what they were doing.
A grump, an idiot, and a serious minded one was utilized respectivly and equally throughout the first film.
That's where I always feel like a whimsy to it or something of that nature, as aposed to the other later films which sort of lost that touch.
Now the later films seem like cash grabs for how good the first one was. That's why we're still getting Ice Age sequels still to this day. Because most of everyone loved the first one.
And thank you, Peachy! Yes, it is basically the same poses that the original characters in the poster are doing.
Well, of course they are 1000% less annoying, they don't have offical voices or a movie to voice in yet!
Yes, I wanted it to look dryer than usual because of corse it's called Dry Age.

Okay, I actually agree with you there lol! I did enjoy the first one, and only that one. The concept was actually pretty original - especially in an era where it feels like all the current movies are just rehashed versions of something else.
It's been a long time since I saw it, but I did really like Manny and connected with his wish to find more of his own kind. I remember less of Diego, but he seemed more likeable in the first, and contrasted Sid quite well. I'll have to go back and rewatch the first movie to see how annoying Sid was, but maybe he was less annoying back then. I just tend to not have patience for one-dimensional comic relief characters.
Haha, well I think your characters would still be less annoying because they seem more well-rounded. And they're not ugly like Sid! 
For awhile I've been wanting to make my own "parody movie poster" of one of my favorite childhood movies with Nia and Bakari.. I think I'll finally stop being lazy and do it! Thanks for the inspiration.

All movies feel like they're a rehash of something else, because people are running out of original ideas. It seems we've hit a point in the movie industry, where every idea has already been thought up and there's not much else to work with, except the same familiar plot lines and tropes.
Hopefully our generation will think of something cool and new.
I think Sid had more than one dimention. I mean, look how caring and protective he was to the baby during the movie. As well as how he was metiphorically that weird sticky glue that kept the three characters together. Remember how Manny didn't want to go at first? How Diego was originally going to take the baby? His natural goofy antics actually brought them more together as friends in the end....and Sid himself probably didn't even realise it!
Well, Sid was a Giant Ground Sloth, so I'm not sure how beautiful they were to begin with. Everyone seems to remember him the most, for how odd looking he is.
