Description
-There's music in all of us.
Some additional thoughts about this piece (Study ):
Study Feedback - Pulse MinorWe all have certain works that are closer to our hearts. Sometimes we don't understand why the work didn't get as much attention. This is about one of them.We can all improve as creators and as humans if we wish. With each other's honest help, we can do it even better.5 minutes of your time about this piece titled 'Pulse Minor' would be appreciated:,So despite submitting it to a handful of Groups, some of which are well-established and have gained credibility, the current stats are:Less than 1000 fellow deviants were drawn enough to view it.More than 96% of them did not feel it was good enough to fave. (37 faves)I have been studying this work for a while now. I want to share what I had in mind and what I tried to accomplish so that you can help me with feedback if you would like.Genre: abstract with a hint of surrealismSubject: The passion for music in usTechnical and aesthetic goals (in no particular order): a) adhere loosely to both the Fibonacci sequence and the Rule of Thirds b) effective use of white space c) use of hierarchy - instrument and eyes first, face next, musical notes next... d) earthly colour gradients leading to the wooden colours of the instrument e) merging of structured and fluid elements f) minimal use of geometric shapes 4. Coherency: only important in the balance of the musician and the instrument,The red lines are obviously the Golden ratio, related to the Fibonacci sequence, and the yellow lines include part of the Rule of Thirds. Off-white/cream-coloured negative space is used on the left. The right side is the primary area for geometric shapes. Distinct structured influences were used on the nose, the forehead, chin, the right side of his jawline, his left eye and the right shoulder. Fluidity is on the left with the curly hair, the abstract swirls and the flowing music scripture. It gradually turns into strict shapes on the right, starting mainly from the bridge of the nose. Basic to intermediate PS editing was done, including gradient overlays, outpainting, cloning, smudging, cropping, colour correction, etc.So the questions arise: What would my fellow artists do to re-imagine this? What suggestions do they have to improve this work?Your constructive feedback and productive suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Keep creating, stay happy and have an excellent one! , OPTIONAL (but somewhat important)🚧 To those who have never done this before, here are examples of what will not help: - Instead of that guy there next to the piano thing, you should put like, an anime girl with enhanced mammary glands jumping on it, and stuff.- This isn't even art dude. If you took half the time to learn how to [this] and not how to [this] then you could actually consider yourself an artist. This [beep] is so stupid, no wonder etc.- It was made using words and other real artists' work and years of talent. If you had spent [x] amount of hours, then it would be considered art. And since you haven't asked the [x] number of artists permission to have their [x] number of works scraped for data, then you're a thief and using their work to get likes and be famous and make money, and stuff. ⬆️ These are understandable and all have valid points, but they don't address the reason I'm posting this journal. ⬇️ Constructive and helpful feedback usually implements the Recency Effect and a well-structured thought process that could state something like:- I actually like it, but did you try [this] so that it grabs more artists' attention? I think [this] would stop them from just scrolling by. That would affect [this] and would help this piece get more attention than it already deserves.- The piece is really nice. I would personally suggest trying [this] to get the eyes to focus on [this] even more and that could be the missing element. Other than that, I like it.- Thanks for taking the time to share. I would have loved to see more of [this] and maybe less of [this]. That was doing [this] to me. Also, look at some of [this] artist's work because similar concepts are used but approached differently. Good job overall.
