I liked Inheritance but a lot of stuff was left un-addressed and Eragon acted like a complete idiot at the end :/.
I also think that Shruikan didn't do all the stuff he could've done (he didn't even stand up, did he?) even though he was a huge powerful beast.
In reality, they were screwed.
But I loved it all the same.
