if you played Sonic Boom:Rise of Lyric you'll get thisand we thought Sonic was a pussy being afraid of water all the time. He was right, that stuff is deadly; touch it and..BOOM DEAD!!!
(fun fact, that's the only thing that killed me in the game...what? i thought it was gonna be an invisible wall!)
and sorry to say this, but as annoying as the drowning theme was,..i kinda miss it

real world logic says that real hedgehogs can swim, but some misinformation in the old times about hedgehogs caused sonic to not be able to swim since the first game, also.... BRLRLRLRLRLRLR.

the finnier thing is that they don't actually drown, they just do their basic "I'm hit" animation, do a silly drwning sound and reapear in the nearest area XD

I haven't played the Boom games yet but I have seen playthroughs of them, touch the water and instantly die. This is still funny XD

Actually Modern Sonic can't go underwater either in the Adventure games, Sonic Heroes, Sonic 06, or Sonic Unleashed, He just dies like Boom Sonic here.

I like the death sprite expression for boom sonic here. It's a classic pose! XD The written sound effects and the rings look really good too.
Really? Another game where so much as touching water hurts Sonic? It doesn't make sense to lose Rings like you're hit by a Badnik attack. I wonder if this means the heroes will never go swimming during their lazy beach days on the show, but Sonic I can understand.
I miss those underwater levels with oxygen timers, I think levels like that are part of what makes a Sonic game stand out.
