A Masterpiece. I am very curious: what is that guy doing with those potions? Are they potions, or chemicals? Are they magic, chemical, both? What is he doing anyway?

I'm going to go with both, because I don't think the art description specified (my memory's a little hazy after nearly 7 years.)

Why did you use both painter and photoshop?

I find that Painter has better blending tools, so if the project allows for a more painterly touch I'll tend to use it for skin tones.

And What is the advantage of photoshop? Sorry for asking...

My process is detailed at [link] , or ImagineFX may still have the tutorial vid I did for them up, if that'd be helpful.

So Great! Fantastic job on the whole thing!
A little dragon with books & potion bottles! I have a pic with the same stuff. It's nowhere near as good as your work but you can still check it out if you want> [link]

Love, really love the colors and textures and his expression and all the items in the room. The perspective between the shelves and the table feels a little off.....................but I couldn't begin to say what needed shifting. It's really, really beautiful, it just feels like the table should be parallel to the wall, but doesn't quite 'look' it.

hmmm. I'll doublecheck the perspective. Thanks!

I could be wrong.......and even if I'm not I don't think you should try to change this one. I just thought I would mention it for consideration in future work ( I used to be an art teacher eons ago) It might be partly the items on the table are throwing me off, seeing it on the computer, but wouldn't if I saw it in person. I had one that several people had trouble interpreting the unicorn's nose on the computer, but in person I don't think they would have. It really is a beautiful work.
