Description
Here's the second half of my art test for a game company I'd love to work for... I'm crossing my fingers!(Edit: it was an art test for BioWare, and no, I didn't get the job.)

Self Control...that sounds a little scary to me. LOL Ahhh...its a game company that you work for. This is great work!

Heh, not quite... guess I should fix the description. SF is the abbreviation I use for science fiction, and it was for an art test for a game company who subsequently decided not to hire me.
Thanks for the comment!

Pretty cool. If I wanted it to work as a game environment, though, I'd probably want the back wall a little further away from the conference table so that it enabled a clear path for players to traverse.

Hmmm. Good point. Heh, maybe that's why Bioware didn't hire me...

Dude, shoot for the top! Bioware probably has thousands of candidates trying to get in, and at least a couple hundred that are actually good enough to do the job... competition for a slot with them has got to be fierce. Even being considered is pretty awesome.

Eh. I seem to keep getting to the art test phase with a number of game companies and then flunking it... After this one, which put me off-schedule with real, paying work, and really added to my stress level by doing so, I've finally gotten frustrated with the whole dance. I really think I'm going to just stick to freelancing - while I'd love to be a part of a creative team, it's not worth it to keep chasing phantom jobs.

It might not hurt to take a break from submissions and just concentrate on working freelance. It'll give you plenty of time to continue refining your technique and learning new tricks.

I just got rejected. It was a test for a full-time job with Bioware.

It's part of my art test to see if I'm good enough to be employed by a game company... don't know if I'm allowed to disclose which, though, so I'll wait until hearing whether I got the job or not to say their name.

I wish you luck! *___* Your concept seems worthy enough! I really like the sort of hollographic neo-lighting you have going on.

They rejected THAT---my word. Though when the best compete who can say for sure who'll win. I'm sure it was a close call. You'll get the next one, or something sooner or later with that kind of talent.
