Hello

My apologies for the delay of response : we had busy times with the launch of new exhibitions and our web site.

One of our projects at 1.61 is exclusively focused on Digital art and aims at showing it to a wider audience.

To that extense, we have build a partnership with FNAC (www.fnac.com), the leader of cultural products departement stores in France :

One of the biggest and most central FNAC departement store in Paris has therefore granted our company with a dedicated space to settle a Digital Gallery.

The first exhibition has been launched August 5th, and will last till end of September. We are currently in the process of selecting artists for the next session, to happen during the month of October, and which thematics will be around the body and its digital treatment.

The conditions are as follow : FNAC grants us free access to their location but please note that there is no budget assigned to 1.61 for this communication event, so no fee for the artists. The artists don't have to pay anything, 1.61 taking at its own charge the costs of scenography, printing...etc.

Typically we show a selection of 5 artists by session, for each of them :
- an image is printed out in a 50 x50 or 50 x 70 format
- a selection of 5 images in high definition is shown on screens (TVs, beamer projection)

For the artists who whish it, we propose these artworks for sell on ourwebsite : we are very keen on the definition of artwork, therefore we would not sell any serie above 30 reproductions, all being signed by the artists.
