Description
It was Missing 90s Day, and the elderly woman sat alone in her rocking chair, staring out the window at the empty street. She remembered the 90s fondly, a time when life was simpler and she was surrounded by loved ones.
Her husband had passed away a few years ago, and her children and grandchildren lived far away. She missed them dearly, and the 90s, more than anything.
On Missing 90s Day, she always made sure to watch her favorite 90s movies and listen to her favorite 90s music. It made her feel closer to the past, and to the people she loved.
But this year, Missing 90s Day was different. She felt sadder and more alone than ever before. She turned off the TV and put away her old records. She couldn't bear to remember the past without the people she shared it with.
She went to bed early that night, but she couldn't sleep. She lay awake in bed, thinking about all the things she missed about the 90s. She missed the way her husband used to make her laugh. She missed the way her children used to hug her. She missed the way her grandchildren used to play in her backyard.
She closed her eyes and tried to imagine herself back in the 90s. She could see her husband sitting on the couch, reading the newspaper. She could hear her children playing in the backyard. She could feel her grandchildren's arms around her neck.
But it was just a dream. When she opened her eyes, she was back in her empty house.
She got out of bed and went to the window. She looked out at the dark street and sighed. She missed the 90s so much. She missed the people she loved so much.
She closed her eyes and wished she could go back in time. She wished she could see her husband's face again. She wished she could hear her children's laughter again. She wished she could feel her grandchildren's hugs again.
But she knew it was impossible. The 90s were gone, and the people she loved were gone too.
She turned away from the window and went back to bed. She knew she would never forget the 90s, or the people she loved. And she knew that she would always miss them.
