When I first saw this contest I wasn't sure which couple I wanted to draw, but I went and saw a performance of "The Gondoliers" with my grandma a while back, and this pose was a part of the choreography of the main couples and it was just TOO perfect for these two I thought. Lollipop being described as a "princess" and such <33
I had a lot of trouble with Kadan's expression, but I decided too push the anime-vibe with both of them. When it came to his other hand I just had no idea once again, but I relating to him a bit I imagined he'd be all flustered with her hands on his face, but also too shy to move them off XD
I loved the idea of her being pushy with him but also overprotective, so I had to put that in here with the little added "animation".

Even though I ended up rushing in a bit with a last minute entry, I really loved it and it felt really nice to do something more finished looking, with cleaner lineart and with shading and everything. It looks a bit odd in Lolli's face and hair with how the animated version exported...but it still looks alright and the preview has it how it should look in the original. I did want to design new outfits for them but worried about time...and I really liked Lollipop's so I wanted to draw it, and Kadan's hero outfit just worked really well with the colours, as much as I loved his BNHA training outfit...so I hope this turned out okay.

And ye, I'm beginning to ramble I just had a lotta fun with these characters, I'm really glad I pushed myself to finish this contest entry <3
