a self portrait i did of myself for school.maybe 2 hours
a little wrong in some areas, especially the chin, it looks wierd

i like ur shading but add detail to the hair and the reason the chin is weird is b/c u made it 2 strong...or 2 big...i like the nose tho

I think the problem with the chin is it doesn't look as concave as it should? It's a little too long, and lacks shadow, I think if you shaded it lightly (not quite as dark as near the ear) it might look better. The lips also look a little flat. Lips are pouty! Hehe, a little shadow under them might help that too.
And you should know the only reason I can critique this is because it's so good, if that makes sense. <<; lol When people's art is way below yours, it's hard to make suggestions other than, "KEEP TRYING" XDDD
With yours it's like looking at my own work and finding the little things that bother me. :3
The shading on the nose and eyes is whoooa good and I like the way you did the hair.
You look like you skateboard.

Hehe, Thank you very much for your kind words. I did have to finish this in one day, so maybe that was the problem? I'm not trying to make excuses, I still think i have a LOT to learn. And your work and my work are hardly comparable (YOUR SO MUCH BETTER!). And i don't skateboard, but i do snowboard

I've only had to do one self portrait before (in 6th grade, I think?) and I hated it. It's so hard to see yourself unobjectively. XD That and I'm not much of an artist to begin with. n_n;;
