Description
This is the most recent painting I've been working on whenever I have the odd hour or two here or there. Going for a post apocalyptic vibe and trying to play around with some new techniques and improving upon my last portrait piece.I am looking for feedback on it as I make some of the finishing touches. The gas mask is the biggest step for me, right now it is pretty rough. Another thing I think needs work is the background and how that can fit into the overall idea. I may want to do another nature overgrowing and taking back civilization motif, but I'm unsure if the background feels too detailed, not detailed enough, or if it should be more abstracted at this point. Any feedback would be great, hoping to have the final piece done and up later this week!

I'm naturally interested in pictures with gas masks, not sure why, they just look cool. You really nailed the apocalyptic vibe and this is truly a lovely portrait, well done. The only advise I have really has to do with the hairline, it doesn't line up with the structure of the head quite right. This is something most people look over easily of course, but I figured with the overwhelmingly positive and well deserved comments, you could use a little constructive criticism.
You are clearly a very talented artist, well done, and keep up the good work!

Thank you kind sir. I am merely a hobbyist trying to improve though, so I really appreciate your criticisms . Do you think the hair line needs to curve more towards the bridge of her nose/ center of her forehead?

No problem, and yes, the bridge of the nose. This is not really something you need to change, but rather something to keep in mind for future projects. You learn more and more about the human body the more you draw it. And once again I'd like to say great work, this piece really has a cool vibe to it, and I think you mentioned adding creatures to the background, that could be interesting. Best of luck to you, and I look foreword to your future projects!

Thanks you very much. I was considering adding some ghoulish characters rummaging through the background scene, but I'm not sure yet lol.

I love how her hair is the only other color aside from the cool colors. It really draws the attention to the character.

Thank you. Initially I had been going for a pastel look with the painting, but as its developed the hair became more prominent and I really think it pops so I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees it.

This looks highly professional; I love the detail. The anatomical proportions are spot on, I can't see any visible flaws what so ever. The art style blends in really well with the dark setting, I think I'm seeing like a swampy environment so to speak, a beautifully dark colored biome.
The gas mask was made with great detail, probably the best one I've seen so far. In my opinion, there is no such thing as to much detail when it comes to art, the more the better.
Creating pieces with great detail really shows how dedicated an artist truly is, so from my point of view, you seem like a dedicated artist in my book.
Overall: This is an amazing masterpiece you've created, It shows how dedicated you're to your art,
and I'm interesting in what you will have in store for us in the future.

Thank you very much for your kind words, I really appreciate the support. This is one of my favorite pieces that I've done yet digitally, so glad to see others like it as well.

Alrighty, this looks good!
Its very polished for a wip and the shading and expression and very impressive.
In terms of the background, it looks like its shaping up to be very detailed, it has just enough blue/grey in it to make sure the subjects stands out enough. Because of this, I (personally) wouldn't add much more green.
EDIT: forgot this:

Thank you thank you. I have been going through a rough patch with no work worth posting recently, so it means a lot that you find this impressive
