I've been looking at this photo for nearly 10 minutes now. I am having a hard time finding the words to express everything, but I will try.
1. I -love- the way you chose to do this image. The framing, set up, costumes and -everything- comes together beautifully to make this an amazing work of art.
2. The subtle difference between your crown and the crown in the movie is the only thing that I could find that was a bit "different" and that could be explained several ways--a crown for a different season (would -not- put it past Thranduil to have that) and artistic license. Both of which are plausible and help create an image that truly defies expectations.
3. Your expression. So, so much there! There is the pain, longing and slightly haunted look that someone can see on Thranduil when he's not guarding himself. There is loss, thoughtfulness and love, too. You combined these expertly. The expression, more than anything else for me, screams King Thranduil.
4. It is perfect how the hair is "just so". There is that bit of perfectionism and flawless beauty that Thranduil works so hard for.
