It's mainly due to the stereotype that F2Ps usually suck at the game and are around the ages between 10 and 13, which we all know some of the more annoying micspammers and immature acting folks come from. Among the TF2-fandom the stereotype usually often refers to those who are very accustomed to playing games such as Call of Duty, where it's usually possible to shoot people through windows while it isn't in TF2.

Yeah, but I still find it all silly, although I'm not taking any side of the fandom. They can play anything MP, especially ranging to TF2 as much as they like to. I'm afraid communities have to act more civil, kind-hearted, as well as being really welcoming to anyone. What they also need to realise however, is that... we are not perfect.

Even though, I'm aware that the COD community is looked down upon by some people, which I both kinda dislike, but understand, although it would be better just to help the entire community out to improve.

Of course, these are just stereotypes though as staten above and I bet most people who play TF2 nowadays are in fact f2ps, mainly since it's been a f2p-game for such a long time now. I am not a f2p since I got the game in 2009 but since I haven't played for some time now, I bet I am pretty terrible.
