i understand this completely. i used to be overweight, and lost a lot of weight due to diet and exercise, and then even more after developing anorexia. that left me with excess skin that, even though i've put on weight since i've entered recovery, still hasn't filled out, so i have areas that are just saggy and gross and i want to get rid of them. it's all i see when i look in the mirror, and i hate having to look at myself because of it.
but i don't want to so much tear mine away as much as i want to take a turkey carver to it.
great image. i think you captured the feeling of insecurity and self-hatred people can have about their bodies exactly how it's experienced - at least, how i experience it.

I wish they could design a system, Like Majin buu does, where you can just peel off your fat, like a pill you take, and you cna just peel off the uneeded peices of yourself.

they've got a pill in the works that's suppose to "replace exercising". it's like a diet pill times a hundred. it doesn't sound safe, but . . . i'm sad to admit that i would probably take it. or get lipo if it didn't cost or hurt so much. but even then i don't think i'd ever be satisfied.

Its hard, for a lot of people. i know what you have is something you cannot control, I am glad that I don't have it, I pray that you be safe. i wouldn't take the diet pill for the pure reason its the easy way out, it teaches my body nothing and I will just get back into the same habits I had before, diet and exercise work, if you do it right and don't deprive your body of everything it needs. that includes sweets and fatty foods.
See this is how I see, since i try to make light of everything in the world to view the positive side, cause I am weird like that. i wish they could develop this technology where they would take overweight people into some factory, and overweight people could donate their fat and extra skin, for like skin grafts and stuff, and the fat for whatever medical reason. i know that is another easy way out, but it is something I have always thought would be a good solution

I'm touched by this, really. I saw this thumbnail and had to see it. I lost 130 pounds in 2008, and looked exactly like this when i started. If anything, I'm very sympathetic to those who are struggling with being overweight. God I know how it feels. T___T
Good for you for being happy with who you are. Even thin girls fight with self-consciousness...
If you're content, you've already won the battle. Way to go girl <3

Girl. I have to tell you, I absolutely adore all of your art. All of your pieces are just saying so much, it is truly wonderful to see.
And I love that you're self-esteem is high, but you are still able to create a picture like this. I think sometimes it takes that confidence in yourself to explore the dark places. That's how its been for me, anyway.
Thank you so much for sharing this, I love it!

What people should know is a girls beauty is reflected by her personality, not her weight.
I have seen girls who are overweight look a million times sexier than skinny girls. It's all about presentation.

I had agree with you, losing weight in a awsome feeling, its like you have physically archieve something in mind
10 - 15lbs is really something. Not easy to lose, but once losing it gets so much easier.

There's a pressure created by the media and people around us, who think if you're "fat" you just have to get thinner. Like it's not your choice, it's your "duty". But they don't know a fucking thing about being "fat". They don't know that if you lose weight , you get stretch marks, anaemia, you can easily get eating disorders, and every single failure, every kg gained kills your will to live . So wouldn't it be better if we'd just stay that way? Wouldn't it be better if they'd just let us live?
You're very brave. Tell them what we feel.

You've totally hit it on the head.
I feel the same way, that I'm expected to want to lose weight and to be thin. Admittedly, many things would be easier if I were thin, or "normal," but I like me how I am.
Thank you.

tattooedmybrain In reply to TheJader [2007-11-09 13:38:55 +0000 UTC]
I've lost 10kg and now I can easily find clothes for myself in "normal" shops. But I still want to be thinner because for some reason I find skinny people attractive. I know that the weight I'd like to achieve is to little, but I'm lucky to have very weak will power hahahah so I don't think there's any danger of being too skinny for me . I'm still "plump" but I can eat almost everything I want and I don't get fatter, so it pisses me off that people stare when I eat in public places. Like a plump person has no right to eat. They don't know if I've eaten something already that day or if that's my first food in 2 days, but automatically they think I stuff myself, just because I'm fat. They don't know I've already lost a lot of weight. Guh, why people are so discriminatory?
