The lighting really does a fantastic job of highlighting the contours and gives the shot a sense of tension and emotion. Not sure what you were thinking in the shotβ¦but there are many stories that could be written using this shot.

I know exactly what you mean! Of course I mostly shoot nature and abandoned buildingsβ¦there is definitely a mood that I try to get across.
In 8th grade lit class the teacher gave each student a picture cut out of a magazineβ¦and we had to write a 3 page story that the picture would illustrate. Now, often, I cannot look at a picture without developing a story line to go with it. For good or ill it has affected how I stage almost any shot. (ya gotta love that Jesuit education)
