Sadis story part 6

Almost a week had passed since Sadis had returned to Pride rock and life couldn’t have been more wonderful. Simba, Nala and Sadis would go out every morning and late afternoon to play. The cubs would sit on her back as she raced wildly across the kingdom, the never got bored of it. The feeling of the wind against their fur, the sight of the landscape shooting by in all its glory and best of all the strong sense of freedom. Every day they did that, apart from one day when the cubs where sleeping in and Mufasa walked with Sadis around the kingdom. They talked of the past, when they played together in the savannah. The pair was joined by Zazu who gave them the morning report. What a bore, even Mufasa was yarning as the bird rambled on. Sadis and the king managed to slip away. It wasn’t long before they were racing across the grass lands laughing and shouting. Mufasa started boosting about how he always won at play fights against his brother and the young foal. Just for fun the two chased and played like they use to. Sadis was winning at first, until the mighty lion hid in the grass and the ruby tackled the horse to the ground playfully. Hours later Simba and Nala had found them and soon joined in. The sun was sinking under the stars when the group came back to pride rock. They were all very tired. Simba snuggled next to his mother and father with Sadis close by to her new and dream family. But even times a beautiful as this don’t last forever.....

It was a new morning and for once the king and his pride were awake before Sadis. All her bones were aching as she stood up to stretch. Mufasa walked up to her. “Morning Sadis” he said lightly. “Good morning my king, sorry for sleeping so long I bet the cubs have already go, I should go and meet the now.” Said went to step outside but Mufasa held his paw up to stop her “Not today Sadis, you have been working too hard and need a day of rest” he put his massive paw on her shoulder “Ohh Mufasa you don’t need to do that, I fine realllllyyyyyy....” She let out a great yarn “Well maybe one day would be alright” the king laughed “You still need time just for yourself Sadis, chance to be a horse, and the cubs won’t be far ok. Relax today.... you still need your freedom” smiled the king before turning away. Mufasa was right. Sadis decided to head out to the greenest grasses which were far passed the waterhole and about mile away from the gorge. Of course Sadis didn’t walk there but ran all the way; it was nice not to worry about a lion cub falling off. When the white horse arrived the place was already occupied but zebra. Some of them gave her a look but it didn’t bother Sadis and they soon lost interest. She grazed most of the morning and one younger zebra did come up to chat to the newcomer, it wasn’t for long but was still nice. In the afternoon she laid flat on her side dozing in the sun and looking out over the land. “I feel so lucky...” she said to herself “ to have a family, Mufasa, Sarabi, Simba, Nala and Scar” as soon as she said that a thought came “ I haven’t seen Scar for a while.... where has he been... I hope he’s ok” she worried. Her line of thinking was suddenly cut off. A noise that sounded like the rumbles of thunder getting ever closer. Tiny stone bounced furiously as the ground began to shake “What on earth?” she whispered. The zebra had taken off. She had heard this noise before but it confused her “the herds don’t travel at this time normal” the noise was getting longer. Sadis was on her hooves look across the gorge. Then she caught something out of the corner of her eye. Two shapes sprinting along the rocks. It was Mufasa and Scar. Sadis was happy to see them at first but looked at the king face as he ran, it was full of terror. Something was wrong. Sadis stated to gallop after them. “Mufasa what’s wrong?” the lion turned in shock and his brother stopped behind him. “SADIS!! I NEED YOUR HELP, Simba is in danger!! His in a stampede” the king cried. “NNNNOO, we must hurry” the three headed down into the gorge, running like they had never done before. Even Sadis who was faster was struggling to keep up with the lion king. Sadis follow them down a narrow ledge before skidding to a holt. The amount of dust in the air made her cough. The sound of the wildebeest deafened her ears. It looked like a river of animals, there were so many! In that moment Zazu flapped up to them “there, there on that tree” he screamed at them. There head snapped to a dead tree right in the middle of the kayos. Sadis eyes widen in fear. Hanging to it was Simba. “Hold on SIMBA!!” his father called to him. But a beest in that moment rammed into the tree making the cub cling on by his claws. Simba yelled. Mufasa responded and Sadis could only watch in pure terror as her friend jumped into the crowd. “MUFASA!!!” But it was too late....
