The Brotherhood of Mutants' Avalanche (Dominic Petros) from X-Men - something resembling official costume ... every picture I have/find seems to be the same basic idea but with minor differences.* Work in Progress *

Nice, I think your right that that this is his most recognized costume, I think I've seen a newer design he had some where (can't remember which comic) though. I do thank you for adding some more villains to your gallery, he's now part of my Marvel Collection.

Yeah, I think Banshee started some group for a while, and Avalanche was in it wearing basically black leather, but he still had that helmet. He looked ridiculous.

Actualy I was reffering to how he looked in some of the X Factor comics (the group Alex Summers/Havock lead) to get a good pic of the suit I mean buy X Factor #102 it has Avalanche on the title (May 1994).

Oooooooooh, ok. I'm kind of embarrassed ... I actually have that comic. Really, though, it's still the same basic principle: purple-ish skinsuit and white/silver armor bits.

Yeah it's a bit of the same principle, yet I like how it looked. It was definately an improvement over the first suit (don't you agree?).

I go back and forth ... there are things about it I like, but there are elements of the original that I prefer.
I kind of feel like they "updated" his costume just to update it (which seems to have been par for the course during the 90's), but that's me.
