Pieces from Dragon*Con 2010!Here's a Punisher-- wish I'd taken a better photo-- from this angle his forehead looks kinda large. :/

Pretty awesome, dude... if you don't mind me asking, what do you use for these pieces? Is it colored pencil on construction paper?

It starts with blueline pencil for a quick rough, then right into ink with pens and brush and white colored pencil with Copic markers for greytones-- on a heavy textured cardstock.
Construction paper would be pretty shoddy-- not a high enough quality surface to work with markers, but in general the paper I end up using is like the nicer stuff they sell to soccer moms for scrapbooking, kinda.

It looks great though. Even a seemingly overlarge forehead wouldn't make him look as bad as he currently does in the comics. Is why I stick with the MAX version

The Mike Zeck version (the best version period) had a pretty long face and high forehead, so I was going for SOME of that here... it's just too pronounced in the angle here, I think.

well yeah I liked his too. I just think the Punisher works best taken out of the regular Marvel Universe and Marvel's recent attempts to have him back in it just seem more and more ridiculous (especially this whole FrankenCastle crap).

Eh, take it with a grain of salt-- have fun with it! It's ridiculous, but why can't they do crazy things with characters every now and then? It'll all right back to the status quo eventually.
Enjoy the escapism, don't overthink. It's comics. It's entertainment.

Nah, Frankencastle is way better-- why? Because it has better writing, better art, and it adds to the mythos, rather than ignores.

We're gonna just have to agree to disagree there cos in my opinion it's been absolute garbage the issues I read before I gave up on the title and any hope that marvel have any damn clue what to do with the punisher in a world of superpowers. Worst comics I've read in a long time and I gave those and the rest of the current Punisher run comics away on the internet. Sticking with MAX like I knew I should have done.
