I thought I had posted this ages ago, but didn't see it in my gallery, so here we are.This is several months old at this point, but this is a quick sketch I did after reading some of the new Thor series (that looks SO gorgeous, don't you agree? Coipel is amazing). There's a lot I don't like about it, but I'm happy enough with it to show it here, so... yeah. Enjoy!

the old one was cool, this makes him look like the warrior he was meant to be.

I do enjoy this one, yeah-- although I think Thor in the Marvel Universe should eventually go back to the original-- there's a reason it's a classic. It's what set him apart from just being just another Norse character.

true. but this one works for right now, allows him to set himself apart from the other heroes, and now he can go back to the old one with no pride lost.

He's always been good, but to be honest I wasn't a fan until House of M, really-- that's where he REALLY took off as an artist. Before that, he was still feeling out aspects of how he handled things... in my opinion, obviously. Thanks!

I don't know man, by the time Marvel name him a "young gun" he was already really good. It just took that Marvel exposure to help him break through to the average fan. But he was great in House of M.

He absolutely was pretty freakin' good before then, I agree. I don't think he really came into his own until around the House of M, though-- before then he had some consistency issues (which I'm dealing with myself, hehe) in storytelling and visual timing.

Yeah, I gotta agree...your scribbles are better than 99% of the "finished" stuff out there. Inked and colored, that'd be a mighty fine print.

Hey, any inker that wants to give it a try? They're more than welcome. I don't know too many modern inkers that can handle much looseness in the pencils, though.

Scribble? SCRIBBLE?!?! This is amazing! There's so much detail and attention to form...you're making me feel like my talents are inadequate by calling this artwork a scribble. XD

To be fair, a finished piece would be tighter in rendering and I'd have corrected some of the issues I have with it (namely, proportions).
