Description
Harlene Quinnzey - or Harleen Quinnzel, technically.Ever since seeing Dark Knight, I've had a particular fondness for Ledger's Joker, particularly because of the spectacular performance. One thing led to another, and I was reminded of Harley Quinn, the Joker's bubbly, just-as-crazy "girl-friend", who in her own right is pretty freaking cool.
Long story short, I got the urge to roleplay as Harlene opposite the Joker, after running into a story ad on a roleplay site I frequent. My partner and I are using the Nolan-verse side of things, and as such, Harlene/Harley needed to be spiffed up and done a new way.
This is, simply, Harlene come Harley - sporting half of the Joker's grin and a heart of blood. Cute, right?

Photoshop Elements 3
Corel Painter Essentials 2
Took maybe 2 hours to do, between drawing and erasing and re-drawing and re-erasing.

Wow. Just...I love the simplicity of the colors and the details of the actual drawing itself. The way the blood from her wound ends up making the heart? Win. Nothing but Win.

Oooh, gorgeous! It's really lovely, 1) to see this, and 2) to see I got a mention in it.
Yeah, guess who. Your method acting amigo from Jokerville
I hope all that made sense.
But yeah, this really is gorgeous, I just got back from an art class and seeing your smooth, light lines compared to my hard, scratchy, angular ones is quite a breath of fresh air!
I really must try photoshop and painter some day!
