These are probably a few of the things going through your head as of now.
But there is a little story to this model.

Yesterday, someone gave me this link:

That is actually a McDonal publicity from France( Appenrently Sega had a commercial deal with them ,which is why Chris is seen working in a MacDonald at the beggining of season 3)

Look at 0:08.

I mean, JUST LOOK AT THAT!
My jaw dropped,awesome looking model, made way back in 2006!
And, compared to that, my models were...well, they were pathetic.

And to be honest....

I was pissed off.

I mean REALLY pissed off.

To be fair, that was made by a team of professionnal, far ahead of everything I could ever come up with, but I was still green with envy.
Which is why is decided to redo my entire Sonic model from scratch. Being pissed off is actually an EXCELLENT motivator for me. I think i just broke my speed modeling reccord ( 4 hours) for that one. Fully rigged and featured!

The problem, you see, was that, for all my previous model, I had no reference sheet I just looked at a few screenshots and tried to come up with something. That made the proportions wonkier. I'm just not good with proportions.

This time, I tried using an actual T-pose reference sheet, unfortunatley, I couldn't find an ''X'' refenrece sheet, it was one from Sonic and The Black knight ( the only one I could find).

So yeah, this is my first attempt at what i call a next-generation modeling, with actual refenrece sheet. And looking back at my previous animation, dang, they were miserable.

Thankfully, I was just given a complete set of refrence sheet just today, so I think I could be able to ''fix'' most of my models (including a true ''X'' Sonic) to finally, FINALLY look okay-ish. The rigging and shading are virtually identical, so I won't be much of an issue.

Obviously, that mean a delay in the producing of the episode, but it's going to be that much better with the new models.
But don't worry, I'm still progressing. I nearly finished all the backgrounds.
