Description

Tunnel Man was built with a bold and fairly creative function: mining by way of teleportive displacement. His four multi-jointed arms end in chisel-tipped nodes, each of fair use for manual mining. When given a signal from his operator, Tunnel Man curls his arm-nodes to face a fifth node on his chest, creating a portal that can push through any surface with little resistance. The results of his excavation would be monitored by someone operating a similar portal on the surface. While Tunnel Man’s frame and “helmet” protected his main body from falling rocks and dirt, his arms proved less durable, and his first month of diligent work ended with him getting pinned down during a cave-in. The other miners escaped without severe injury, and opted to dig him out as soon as it was safe... but no trace of his body was found when they did.

The Warp Tunnel acts as a front-facing shield that absorbs projectiles and small enemies, where a second portal will deposit them straight downward... onto another enemy’s head if one is nearby. Mostly based on something this boss can do: youtu.be/wfINt22dLK8?t=208
