Description
The Pinocchio Gnmoes, latin for Pine Eyes, are making quick work of their latest Masterpiece. Turning other helpless Fae into fine, 'carved' pieces of wooden art for all to admire. My second entry for the group and their theme Twisted Fairytales.(journal: OC-Challenge 20: Twisted Fairytales!

We hate 'em but we must use 'em!
You must be a member of #OC-Challenge to join this!
Create a deviation with your original character (OC) depicting a somewhat twisted fairy tale (no fan art or fan characters).
As the title itself implies, the artwork must be based on a fairy tale but you must be able to "twist" it in such a way that the artwork shows a different side of the fairy tale, though the story itself should remain visible in some way.
For this challenge, ONLY the following fairy tales can be used:
This was a fun peril to do! The thought came to me when I was admiring such lifelike carvings that are in old houses and such. Then I thought, what if they were alive at some point! Also, I was interested in doing some texture and I thought glossy wood would be interesting. The whole thing was fun to execute!

Like the concept, but... I have very solid doubts about the 'latin for Pine Eyes' part. Telling you that as one whose have classical latin lesson tomorrow. ^w^
Still - love the concept!

The idea totally reminds me of that old Batman episode in which Poison Ivy turns people into plants with some kind of crazy chemical water gun! The idea was terrifying at the time - especially if you thought "holy crap, are they still alive!?"
Very cool idea!

Gnomes..... Ever since Puzzle Agent those guys just give me the creeps.
I rather like the idea behind this. And I especially like how you did the texture and surface of the wood.

certainly feels original, at first I had a fae just turning into wood and was like, "Well that doesn't make much sense." So then, Gnomes. Why? Because they're bastards. ^^
