(I am Kerry, one of Purple Vixen’s most trusted LILAC commanders. This is my account of a recent heist. Unfortunately, at this point, it isn’t going so well)

I knew I had to move fast. Kim went down from the force of the karate chop and was slumped against the counter, moaning in pain and holding her injured wrist. Not wanting to give the woman a chance to turn and face me, I ran toward her, ready to deliver a knockout blow and put this wannabe heroine in her place! “Say good night bitch!” I said through clenched teeth as I drew my arm back, ready to drop her with my strongest punch!

Just as I was aiming my right fist at the side of her head, she quickly pivoted and bent her knees slightly. A split-second later, I felt what seemed like an explosion just under my lower ribs. Out of nowhere, this woman had hit me in my midsection with the most powerful kick I had ever been on the receiving end of! I had been so focused on taking her down with my own attack that I didn’t even see it coming! “Ooofff!” I grunted as all the air rushed out of my lungs and a crushing pain tore through my abdomen. My stomach seemed to cave in and it felt like her boot was going to go right through me! The force of the kick lifted me off my feet and sent me flying backward! My sunglasses were also knocked off my face and I had a sense of overwhelming panic as I sailed through the air, not knowing where or how I would land!
