Sorry xD I answered that question a bit longer above this reply but, the short reason is that I tried to paint the regular eyes, but messed up so bad and couldn't get it right, so in the end I just went with something I felt I could pull off, a bit more regular-looking.
I kinda regret it now but at the time, it was my only option xD

Nice tutorial, and I really like the colour style..
But why did you change her eyes and lips? They looked AWESOME, but (sorry) got kind of boring in the end.. The first eyes and lips you drew were really beautifull, so sad to see that you changed it!
But great tutorial anyway!

That said, the reason why I changed them is actually that while working on the picture, I couldn't quite get the way she looks in B&W to work in color, a better painter might've been able to pull if off but, I just failed when I tried it.. she just looked really strange with those eyes+lips that she has in B&W when the picture got some color.. so in the end I just changed them all together to be able to go with something that I could actually manage to finish xD
I agree with you thou, the original look is better, but, as said, I had to change it to make the overall picture work ;__;
Maybe I'd be able to make it work if I tried it today.. : O
